Wired offers a fresh, hip take on traditional string quartet performance. Individually we sparkle as performers, and as a quartet we have compiled and polished a lively repertoire through years of playing together at functions. We offer not only the much-loved classical pieces but also a large selection of jazz, Latin and more.

Classical
This repertoire includes classical hits like Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik and Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, as well as arrangements from operas such as Carmen, The Pearl Fishers and Gianni Schicchi. We include Broadway musicals such as Phantom of the Opera and Fiddler on the Roof, and light classics like Boccherini’s Minuet, Elgar’s Salut d’Amour, Strauss’s waltzes, Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty waltz and Mozart’s Rondo alla Turca.

Wired performs famous tangos like Por Una Cabeza (featured in the movie Scent of a Woman), La Cumparsita and the tangos of Piazzolla, as well as lesser known but equally beautiful tangos written specifically for string quartet, like the tangos of McLean. We also perform pieces with a Latin twist, such as the song More.

Jazz
Wired’s jazz repertoire includes arrangements of many Cole Porter songs, including Begin the Beguine and I Get a Kick Out of You, as well as jazz standards like Take Five, Black Orpheus and It Had to be You. We also include works by Gershwin like Summertime and rags by Scott Joplin.

World music
Wired also play music from all over the world, including Spanish fandangos, Hungarian gypsy dances, Irish jigs and reels, South African kwela, Italian Neopolitan songs, English traditional airs, and even some French café music and American bluegrass.

Christmas music
Wired have a large selection of traditional Christmas carols as well as some jazzed-up carols.
